No matter how much you clear every Summer for fire safety; something will grow back in the Spring. Nature abhors a vacuum.

Another kidding season has been completed with 65 kids being born and almost all of them surviving this wet winter.

This is about the best kidding season I have experienced.  I credit this to preparation, good barns, and an unusually dry/warm January. 

With 50 pregnant goats there was much to prepare for. 

The first weekend of December, I had a pleasant surprise when I went to feed the goats.

October 2021 was a crazy busy month for me, the goats, and the dogs.

You would be surprised how quickly the goat drive moves!

While preparing cross-fence lines, I discovered an abandoned, hand built, rock walled ditch most probably constructed as part of a gold mining operation.
